womens_squash_300x200Want to get active and have fun while doing it? Give squash a go!

Squash Auckland is a not-for-profit organisation that wants to help women have fun while being active. For a lot of us, trying a new sport can be a bit daunting, but Squash Auckland want you to feel welcome and excited about getting involved. Bring along some friends and you'll be sure to have a great time socially while keeping healthy and fit.

$1 from each enrolment fee goes to The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Throughout the year they have special one day tournament series (which aren't competitive, just a lot of fun!), women's club nights and six week programmes that take beginners down the road to becoming skilled squash players.

Here are some comments from ladies who have participated in squash with Squash Auckland.

"Program was really well run. I enjoyed myself while learning. Well done to Eleanor (our coach)." Juliet

"I learnt techniques I never knew and got to have a go with no pressure." Jeni

"I learnt how to play. My fitness level increased and I got out of the house and met new people." Andrea

"I'm loving the new type of fitness and racquet skills." Nina

"Thought overall the program was great. I learnt heaps of new techniques and it was good fitness as well." Trudie

The next tournament day is Sunday 25 July at the Royal Oak Racquets Club in Auckland. It's the middle of winter - it will probably be raining - so get yourself indoors for some fun.
