Scholarship Programme
In 2004, The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation launched a scholarship programme for Radiation Therapists and Medical Imaging Technologists (Mammography). Since 2004 to the present, the Foundation has progressed the scholarship programme so as to assist more individuals working in the broad field of medicine and breast cancer.
Radiation Therapists
Currently, the Foundation offers six individual scholarships to the value of $7,000 each for Stage I students commencing The University of Otago’s Bachelor of Health Science (Medical Radiation Therapy) degree. Each scholarship will be given to a student who is assigned to work with a radiation oncology clinical provider in the Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North, Christchurch, Hamilton or Dunedin areas respectively.
