Breast Cancer Month

October is international breast cancer awareness month. While our work continues all year round, October is a key month for fundraising. Funds raised will enable us to continue our lifesaving work. A range of fun activities are planned around the country, to raise money for the NZBCF.

New Zealanders can take action during October by:
• Registering for regular screening mammograms if you are over 40. If you are aged between 45 -69 these are FREE through BreastScreen Aotearoa ph 0800 270 200.
• Being ‘Breast Aware' and know what looks and feels normal for your breasts.
• Joining one of the many community fundraising events around New Zealand.
• Donating a gold coin to one of our volunteers and wear a pink ribbon with pride.

Thank you for your support of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

Communication is a vital part of the everyday focus of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation as we seek to build awareness and understanding of breast cancer and screening in New Zealand.

Whether it’s through our education resources, research grants, scholarships or fundraising and awareness activities, we are here to offer accurate, research-based information to help prevent New Zealand women dying from breast cancer.

We are fortunate to have been supported by many local media over the years, which help promote awareness of our work.

Thank you for your invaluable support.
